Whether you’re considering consulting, you’re new to it, or you’re a pro, this is my solid list of behaviors that will not only keep your clients happy but keep them coming back to you for help. I’ve seen it too often where a customer will bring in a consultant to be the “expert” and then end up telling them what to do.

Furthermore, should you decide to cheat and get caught, you will lose it all in an instant and it will never fully come back (if at all).

The problem is motivation, and it is on you to figure out how to recommend the changes to solve it.

If a client doesn’t expect you to have ideas to improve and to make changes, you need to help them understand that, if they want things to get better, then there will be changes and this is how we are going to make that happen.
