As pre­vi­ous­ly writ­ten, I like list pro­cess­ing. Many com­put­ing prob­lems can be bro­ken down into trans­form­ing and fil­ter­ing lists, and Perl has got the fun­da­men­tals cov­ered with func­tions like map, grep, and sort.
