With over 200+ services, serval thousand servers and a few hundred developers, OYO Tech’s growth has been massive this past year. As OYO Tech grew, a central DevOps team was incorporated, which had the responsibility of maintaining and streamlining the entire tech stack followed at OYO.
With so many teams and services up and running, it started to become difficult to know which service belongs to which team. As a cloud-first company, we are always thinking of optimal utilization of our resources and track how much cost each of our tech team as well as their business counterparts were contributing to the monthly billed. Monitoring capabilities were limited by deployment scripts, which were cumbersome to manage if the same code-base was deployed on multiple environments.
