Datadog, at its online Dash conference today, launched an incident management platform along with additional analytics tools to identify application errors and performance and compliance issues. Amit Agarwal, chief product officer, said these latest additions to the Datadog platform are intended to further consolidate IT management and monitoring.
Those tools need to address application issues not only in IT infrastructure management but also in security and compliance requirements, added Agarwal.
In the wake of the economic downturn brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, Datadog is making a case for consolidating IT monitoring and management to reduce total costs.
However, it does have a significant base of customers that provides a foundation from which it can continue to expand.
