There is plenty of material about DevSecOps on the Internet. Yet, while talking to clients and many of my colleagues, I found the following diagram to be a great tool to explain several practical aspects around DevSecOps automation.

If we apply the ‘as-a-code’ philosophy across the full-stack view of an application, it is clear that in addition to the dependency libraries, there are several other artifacts as well (ref. the deliverables shown at the end of the Lego block delivery pipeline).

I strongly think that the operational management of an application starts on the day one of its design and development.

This is to stress on the fact that security is an integral part of all the pipelines and not to be seen as a siloed one.
