Engineering the Digital Transformation is the latest book by Gary Gruver. As I read the book, I was reminded of a talk I sat in by Gary where he started by describing the link between modern software development and manufacturing. In his latest book, Gary delves more into those linkages and highlights the synergy and differences between manufacturing and software development. I am fan of Gary because he is one of the few thinkers in the area who has a holistic approach to the software development challenges.

In his book, Gary does exactly that by drawing on his experience to address that complex ecosystem.
