Kafka is popular, there’s no question. Due to its https://medium.com/swlh/why-kafka-is-so-fast-bde0d987cd03, it can also scale to large amounts. As Kafka scales, cost is a concern, so the price/performance value is key to most organizations running Kafka.

Note that we ran the benchmark 3 times for each architecture, and the failures on AMD architecture instances were consistent.

This does not consider messages which are being consumed from Kafka, but only messages received by Kafka.
