MLOps evolution: layers towards an agile organization.

MLOps has grown to become the de facto way of working for teams that are pushing ML models to production. This article provides an overview of the journey organizations go through as they move towards MLOps maturity.

Level 0: At this level ML is not part of the organization and management is generally skeptical about the value of ML.

Furthermore, ML is being sponsored by the highest level of management and the integration of ML is considered for every major project.

Transitioning from level 3 to level 4 requires closing the loop of the ML life-cycle, meaning model development, deployment, monitoring, and model retraining need to be covered.
