You can then use AWS Backup to restore VMware workloads to on-premises data centers and VMware Cloud on AWS.
Using AWS Backup Support for VMware There are three steps to back up VMware virtual machines (VMs) with AWS Backup: Create a gateway to connect AWS Backup to your hypervisor.
AWS Backup supports VMware ESXi 6.7.x and 7.0.x VMs running on NFS, VMFS, and VSAN data stores on premises and in VMware Cloud on AWS.
With AWS Backup support for VMware, you pay using the same dimensions that AWS Backup uses today: backup storage, restore, and cross-region data transfer.
