Chipmaker Nvidia is finally taking steps to improve the compatibility of its GPUs with Linux after years of largely ignoring users of the open source OS. Nvidia has open sourced GPU kernel modules for Linux so coders can write applications for more efficient execution on the company’s GPUs.
