Oracle will not voluntarily release its trademark on the word “JavaScript,” according to a recent Mastodon post by Deno. Deno is an open source runtime for JavaScript, TypeScript and WebAssembly created by Ryan Dahl. Dahl also created Node.js, the JavaScript runtime environment.
