Private SaaS, a New Paradigm
The software-as-a-service (SaaS) method of delivering software has revolutionized our industry. Organizations are increasingly adopting SaaS applications because they are managed and run on the providers’ servers.
SaaS model: The vendor’s “Data Plane” (where the apps and software for each customer are hosted and running) is in the vendor’s network.
Private SaaS model: The vendor’s “Data Plane” lives in an environment within Customer A’s network and is therefore managed and controlled by Customer A.
With private SaaS, both of these components stay within the organizations’ own networks, delivering the level of security that InfoSec teams want.
