Now, this is a story all about howMy life got flipped-turned upside downAnd I’d like to take a minuteJust sit right thereI’ll tell you how I got a job as a DevOps Engineer This is aimed at people who are considering moving into DevOps, DevSecOps, or any of the other plethora of job descriptions which seems to be springing up all over the place at the moment.

I knew that if I wanted to achieve my goals, I was going to have to up my game — so I went back to university.

I’d been in a hands-off people management role for about a year and a half and it was losing it’s spark for me.

Now seems to be the time to continue to learn, grow and identify areas I’m interested in, which was the purpose of this post.
