Both companies are in the analytics subgroup focused on https://trino.io/, an open source data query engine derived from the https://prestodb.io/ project, originally incubated at Facebook. The two companies’ technologies are highly complementary, yielding a very logical consolidation with an excellent prognosis for successful execution.
