Together with TODO group and Linux Foundation Research, The New Stack is conducting a survey as part of a research project on the prevalence and outcomes of open source programs among different organizations across the globe. Open source program offices (OSPOs) help set open source strategies and improve an organization’s software development practices.
OSPOs speed development and improve collaboration. This year marks the 4th annual TODO Group survey and The New Stack has been fortunate to collaborate with some of the best thinkers in open source.
In 2021, there are still many organizations that are struggling to understand what open source is and determine if they should move beyond traditional thinking to use open source or release software as open source.
