Well, well, well — https://thenewstack.io/knatives-independent-future-outside-a-foundation/, it looks like the Knative project is poised to join the https://cncf.io/?utm_content=inline-mention. Back in 2019, Google caused a bit of controversy when https://www.linkedin.com/in/lindydonna/, a product manager for Google Cloud Run and a member of the https://knative.dev/ steering committee at the time, https://groups.google.com/forum/m/#!topic/knative-dev/YmL2vgMC4rc in an update that Google had “decided not to donate Knative to any foundation for the foreseeable future.” This week, the Knative project opened a https://github.com/cncf/toc/pull/762 to join the CNCF as an incubating project, officially ending said “foreseeable future,” with no reason offered as to what had changed in the interim. In a https://knative.dev/blog/steering/knative-cncf-donation/, the Knative Steering and Trademark committees wrote that they were “very excited” about the news that Google had “https://opensource.googleblog.com/2021/11/Knative-applies-to-become-CNCF-incubating-project.html.”

Knative project is now proposed to join CNCF.
