EKS Distro is a distribution of the same version of Kubernetes deployed by Amazon EKS, which you can use to manually create your own Kubernetes clusters anywhere you choose. At the same time, the EKS Anywhere is announced, which is to come in 2021. EKS Anywhere is based on EKS Distro, and the goal is to create an EKS cluster on-premise so that you have the same EKS tooling.
