Cloud Native Computing Foundation sponsored this post, in anticipation of KubeCon+CloudNativeCon North America 2021 – October 11-15. Prometheus was the second project to join what would become the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), right after Kubernetes. Prometheus was also the second project to graduate within CNCF, right after Kubernetes.
The economic incentive to talk about how one’s own offering is compatible with Prometheus is substantial.
If anyone claims to be compatible with Prometheus but does not have that logo within the next few weeks and months, it might be worth asking them why — and how they intend to fix this.
