DevOps Engineer

We are looking for experienced DevOps Engineers who are; passionate about and possess strong abilities for problem solving and troubleshooting issues across several platforms in an operational environment, have a proven proficiency in engineering automated solutions, and feel confident in your ability to share and discuss ideas, able to work well within a team setting.

The Role:

As the DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for assisting with building and release engineering activities, DevOps tasks, Cloud administration and server management activities, and will be responsible for automation, scaling, and deployments in Azure. It is a great opportunity for the right individual to be a part of a high-caliber team in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. Providing operational support for new and existing software and diagnosing production issues. Working with the DevOps team to maintain operations of systems in all environments including development, test, staging, production, and others as needed.

  • Collaborating with team members in the daily scrum meetings and work assignments.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operations and team efficiency through various aspects integration
    and deployment automation.
  • Working with the Engineering teams to seamlessly integrate teams’ artifacts into operational systems
    will minimal impact to our customers.
  • Clearly Articulating and documenting processes, designs, and other produced artifacts to a diverse
    group of individuals.
  • Clearly presenting ideas to diverse groups comprised of people at various levels of management.
  • Telemetry and metrics, with a focus

Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud computing and 2+ years of experience in systems administration including both Linux and Windows based systems.
  • 2-5 years of experience using various scripting technologies such as bash, Python, PowerShell, and
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Service Fabric or any microservice architecture, TCP/IP networking
    technologies and of standard network security technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services and JSON and XML.
  • Knowledge of GIT or other source control systems and VSTS automated build/deploy tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert information into practical
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Ability to code and script for both physical and virtualized environments, such as and Azure and AWS.
  • Comfort with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment.
  • Adherence to policies, procedures and documentation standards.
  • Able to spend 1 week of 5 as 24 hour on call support engineer.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Bonus Requirements:

  • The ability to read and understand general logic and flow of C# programming language.
  • Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS Design/Automation.
  • Working knowledge of Confluence Wiki is a plus.
  • Certification in relevant technologies is a plus.
