Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep LearningOpen discussion about Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
• Artificial intelligence is the future.
• Artificial intelligence is science fiction.
• Artificial intelligence is already part of our everyday lives.
All these statements are true, it just depends on what flavor of AI you are referring to. This meeting is will help us all get a better understanding of what AI is and is not.
With huge strides in AI--from advances in the driverless vehicle realm, to mastering games such as poker and Go, to automating customer service interactions--this advanced technology is poised to revolutionize businesses. But the terms AI, machine learning, and deep learning are often used haphazardly and interchangeably, when there are key differences between each type of technology.
Our facilitator for the discussion is Blair Leduc. A Principal Consultant with ObjectSharp, Blair has 25 years of experience in hands-on, management and consultative roles. He has a strong interest in technology topics and software engineering practices, such as web and mobile development, serverless computing and machine learning.
Blair obtained a M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering and a B.Eng. Computer Engineering from McMaster University. He has a Professional Graduate Certificate in Data Science from Harvard University, Harvard Extension School. He has been a regular public speaker on technology topics and software engineering practices, such as web and mobile development, serverless computing and machine learning.
Due to Covid-19 regulations we are going to run this as an online event. Our last meetup was an online event and went well while protecting everyone and keeping then safe. Click the link in the meeting to join just before 6:00 pm.
