About this Event

The Chicago AWS user group, Blacks in Tech, Write Speak Code and DevOps Chicago groups are joining forces to bring you a joint CFP workshop to encourage submissions to DevOpsDays Chicago.

Format
5:00pm Doors open and pizza
5:30pm Welcome and a short presentation led by Matt Stratton
6:00pm collaborative time to work on crafting a CFP with experienced presenters available to answer questions
7:30pm Wrap up and Q&As

What to bring:

Come with your talk ideas! Bring whatever helps you think best - a laptop, pen and notebook, or just your thoughts. Work in a small group or focus on your ideas solo.

We will begin with a short presentation about how CFPs work, with insights from the Content selection team from DevOpsDays Chicago organizers. We will look at previous CFP submissions for inspiration and feedback. The goal of the evening is to encourage everyone to submit a talk idea to any event, with a focus on DevOpsDays Chicago coming up in September.

NOTE
Registration closes at 4pm the day before the event so we will have an accurate list. You must be registered to attend, and building security will verify your name with a government-issued ID.
