DevOps Vancouver Meetup: April 2021

Spring is the season of new beginnings and a great opportunity to discover something new from our DevOps Vancouver Meetup presenters. On April 13 we'll host Aditya Chourasiya, QA Lead at WorkSafeBC and Kaspar von Grünberg, CEO at Humanitec, followed by Lean Coffee. Here's the evening's line up:

Aditya Chourasiya, QA Lead at WorkSafeBC:
Product Version Systems and Compatibility Testing

About 2 years ago during the Meetup, Aditya told us a story about a squirrel who cares about quality. Following on from this, Aditya will share another story about Zero. We’ll go through his adventures of product version systems and compatibility testing. The agenda will include:
• A story about Zero and other numbers
• So many versions of versions?
• Which version of version is good for you?
• Q&A

Aditya is the DevOps QA Lead and a SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) at WorkSafeBC. He has experience in leadership, automation and working on his parenting skills. As strong advocate of quality, he considers information technology as a means to an end, delivering the customer what they need. He has been associated with both WorkSafeBC DevOps and the Vancouver DevOps Meetup group since their early days.

Kaspar von Grünberg, CEO at Humanitec:
How to make developers self-serving with an Internal Developer Platform

Why do the best teams in the world ship faster than anyone else? Because they built their own Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) to make their developers self-serving. In his talk, Kaspar will explain why teams like Github, Google and Spotify built IDPs and what impact they have on their teams. He will demo how to build your own IDP using Humanitec.

Kaspar is the CEO and founder of Humanitec. He has spent the last 10 years building and running software companies from retail applications and door-to-door campaigning technology to monitoring and evaluation for NGOs. His observations of common startup development challenges during this time ultimately became Humanitec’s founding vision.

Please RSVP quickly and email [masked] with your Lean Coffee topic suggestions which we'll vote on at the event.
