DevOps Vancouver Meetup: Jan 2020

Happy New Year and welcome back to the first DevOps Vancouver Meetup for 2020! We’re kicking off this year with two exciting presentations and a demo on DevOps and Security by Palo Alto Networks.

Security for a Cloud Native DevOps World:
Matthew Barker and Cameron MacLeod of Palo Alto Networks will discuss the key challenges many security and risk management leaders and staff are facing as DevOps and Cloud Native technologies continue to grow in popularity. Cameron’s presentation will focus on a high-level view of security trends while Matthew will provide a demo and technical deep-dive.

The rapid adoption of DevOps and DevSecOps, and the corresponding movement to cloud technologies is forcing security teams to shift away from traditional application security approaches that relied on one-time test, late in the application development process, to focus on integrating security throughout the development lifecycle, efficiently and at scale.
