ABOUT THE TALK

With hundreds of developers located worldwide, John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group is creating cloud-hosted web applications for Farmers and Construction Managers to manage their operations. To give teams the most autonomy possible and enable quick, high-quality Node web applications in AWS, we have created a generator to remove some of the fiddly work involved in getting from idea to production. Join us as we give an overview of the common CI/CD, infrastructure, and code that we generate and the problems we've solved with this tool.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Luther Tegtmeier is a Staff Developer for John Deere's Operations Center. He lives in Urbandale, Iowa, and has been enabling precision agriculture with Web Applications and APIs since 2013.
Part of his mission is to empower teams to burn down Tech Debt and improve DevOps Practices for Infrastructure, CI/CD, Monitoring, and Alerting by removing barriers and providing tools to move in the right direction.

Gene Arch is a staff developer for John Deere’s Operations Center Design System. He lives in Indianola, Iowa, and has been working for John Deere since 2015.
Gene is passionate about enabling John Deere’s web application engineers to create high-quality digital products for the world’s farmers. He works daily to ensure developers can focus on solving the hard business problems while delivering a web experience that is undoubtedly John Deere.
