Agenda:
10:30 AM - 10:35 AM: Welcome & Announcements
10:35 AM - 11:05 AM: "Distributed system analysis made easy with PBench", Anisha Swain & Riya, Associate Software Engineer, Red Hat
This talk will be highlighting the use of Pbench tool to solve this hectic task of collecting data and explain how best we utilise resources while running applications at scale. It will be beneficial for the people, who are looking for a benchmarking and performance analysis solution for their product with better consistency.
11:10 AM - 11:55 PM: "Leveraging Serverless and Cognitive Services for COVID-19 Data Processing", Manoj Ganapathi, Digital Technology Consultant, Cloud and DevOps Specialist
We'll explore with a simple, yet representative example how Azure functions built with Python along with AI (leveraging Azure Cognitive services) can be combined to create a powerful, scalable solution for processing data. We'll use a hypothetical COVID-19 use case of performing text analytics (like Key Phrase extraction) for notes taken on the frontlines by COVID-19 medical professionals.
12:00 PM - 12:45 PM: "Building Search Experience for a Python Web Application", Aravind Putrevu, Developer Advocate, Elastic
Building a web application to solve a business problem is easy in today's world. But, how about creating an experience that lets your user spend more time on the service. To do that essentially, we need to equip the application with quintessential features like search. Most of the websites like eCommerce, Food Delivery, Social media rely on search. Search is omnipresent and one can't ignore the users searching for something on your website.
12:50 PM - 01.00 PM: Exploring Natural Language Processing using Azure, Usha Rengaraju, Principal Data Scientist, Infinite Sum Modelling
In this short session, we will explore how to use Azure's text analytics service to detect languages, perform sentiment analysis and extract key phrases and known entities.
01:00 PM - 01:50 PM: Lunch Break
01:50 PM - 02:00 PM: Game Time
02:00 PM - 02:45 PM: βIdentifying defaulters using Machine Learning", Ritesh Modi, Hon. Microsoft Regional Director
People take credit and they repay to lenders however at times they default on their payments. This can happen due to multiple reasons. In this session, we will take up a dataset consisting of customer profile, preferences, past history and payment details and using classification try to identify if he/she is going to default on her payments.
This session will contain the entire machine learning process of loading, cleaning data alongside a classifier to predict the next set of defaulters using Python.
02:50 PM - 03:35 PM: "Using the Azure Machine Learning Python SDK to Train a PyTorch model at Scale", Henk Boelman, Cloud Advocate at Microsoft
With machine learning becoming more and more an engineering problem the need to track, work together and easily deploy ML experiments with integrated CI/CD tooling is becoming more relevant than ever. In this session we take a deep-dive into Azure Machine Learning service, a cloud service that you can use to track as you build, train, deploy, and manage models. We will use the Python SDK in a Jupyter Notebook to build a PyTorch model and deploy it.
03:40 PM - 04:00 PM: Game Time, Winner Announcement, Feedback & Wrap Up
