Modern development & DevOps practices have evolved significantly over the last few years. Modern apps utilize many APIs, micro-services, and various dynamic aspects. Unfortunately, most Application Security Testing solutions have not kept up with these changes which makes life hard for security testing & automation.

In this presentation, Art Linkov, NeuraLegion’s Chief Scientist will provide a brief intro to Application Security Testing (AST), who uses it, the benefits of AST, and what actually works. This will be followed by a discussion about how AI is used in the field of AST and how it helps NeuraLegion modernize AST so it meets the requirements of modern day organizations.
The focus of the presentation is technical, but no security, or AI expertise is required to get value from this session.

Join us to learn what is new in AST in 2020.

*The webinar will be recorded and shared with the registered people.*

• Intro about AST
• Why use Application Security Testing
• Types of AST
• What are the challenges for AST in 2020?
• What works and what doesn’t?
• A little about AI
• Challenges of applying AI in AST
• Where are we using AI in AST?

*Bio*

Speaker - Art Linkov, co-Founder and the Chief Scientist at NeuraLegion, responsible for the company’s research and driving its AI and ML development. Before NeuraLegion, he was a PhD student focusing on Stem Cells & Regeneration at The Technion. During the PhD, he dealt with a lot of data analysis, biological algorithms and experimental methodologies, which naturally led him to ML & AI.

In 2017 Art decided to join his good friend Bar Hofesh to build the world's first AI-based “hacker that will enslave the world”. Together they embarked on the journey and founded NeuraLegion, an AI-powered Application Security Testing solution. Writing code was always a passion of his, so he put his scientist training to use by introducing biologically inspired algorithms and knowledge of data science into the technology. Although they are not that close to world domination by TCP/IP, the did learn quite a few things about how AI can be applied in cyber security.
