“The Future of Postgres in a Multi-cloud World” with Dr. Marc Linster of EDB Postgres

Postgres is a recognized leader of relational databases for new and modern applications, ranking as one of the top open source RDBMS.

This presentation will reflect on how developers take advantage of this new situation, how they deal with the complexity, and how they take advantage of Postgres as the universal data platform that is available in containers, in every cloud, in every data centre and on every developer laptop.

Dr. Linster is the SVP, Product Development and Support for EDB Postgres. Before joining EnterpriseDB, He spent 4 years at Polycom, the leading maker of video communications equipment, focusing on the Services Supply Chain, Business Intelligence, Customer Data Management and Cloud Solutions.

He has an extensive background in management, business consulting, systems integration, data management and business intelligence. He holds a Ph.D. (Dr. rer. nat) in Computer Sciences from the University of Kaiserslautern in Germany.
