DevOps Vancouver Meetup: September 2021

After taking a break over summer, the DevOps Vancouver Meetup is back with a great September line-up. Please join us on September 28 to share insights, ideas, and Q&A with presenters Jason and Rick. Here's the evening's line up:

“Quality is Everyone’s Responsibility”
Jason Soo, People Development Manager and former QA Manager at WorkSafeBC

Every single person in the delivery chain contributes to the overall quality of the end product or service. In his presentation, Jason will share his passion for quality and provide a few easy-to-remember tips to build and retain your quality mindset, irrespective of which role you play in your organization.

Jason is currently a People Development Manager and former QA Manager at WorkSafeBC. He has worked in IT for over 20 years, in organizations including ICBC, Citibank, Ericsson, Avcorp Industries, and Fujitsu. Jason would love to connect with you on LinkedIn: soojason

“Software Chain of Custody”
Rick Broker, Solutions Architect at Digital.ai

In his presentation, Rick will discuss a Software Chain of Custody, which is key for proving the integrity of software assets throughout the enterprise. In the legal world, the chain of custody for a piece of evidence ensures the integrity of that evidence; similarly, the Software Chain of Custody proves what happened, when it happened, where it happened, and who made it happen during the software delivery process—from the time you plan features through the time they’re deployed in production. A Software Chain of Custody also feeds valuable contextual data into Value Stream Management, so leaders can analyze and continuously improve software delivery processes.

In his role as Solutions Architect, Rick provides thought leadership to organizations wishing to take agile development to the next logical level by automating their deployment pipelines. With a background in Development and Operations Rick is uniquely qualified to provide architectural guidance to these organizations.

Please RSVP quickly! See you on September 28.
